God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) I’m sorry for your loss; may God provide you and your family with peace and comfort during this difficult time. I pray that you're encouraged by the wonderful promises for the future at John 5:28, 29 and Acts 24:15.

My heart goes out to the Stevens family. Despite dealing with an illness Philip always had a smile on his face when I ran into him. He was such a proud father and will be greatly missed. I'm sure he's sitting in heaven right now with dad catching up on old times.

My heartfelt sympathies to you Susan and Amanda and your entire family. Though I hadn't seen Philip for many years, I will always remember the time he and Dale (Hazard) painted my entire car completely black, windows, chrome, all of it! I was away at college and Dale wanted to try out his new paint gun. Philip was there and they made quite the time of it. I remember going to the races and going in the pits when Wade was racing. I remember one time ( I wasn't legal at the time), the three of us went up to get beer. Dale didn't have his license with him, and full beard and all, five years older than me, they wouldn't serve him! Philip was just beside himself laughing. I just went up and ordered, never got asked for ID, got served, and asked if Dale and Philip could at least help me carry it..I remember Philip saying something like "leave to a blonde!" Then there was the time at the firehouse...now why would people be climbing trees? A body cast later for Dale, then after his recovery, so many laughs thereafter. Philip was a wonderful man with a heart like a large pizza, a piece for everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed, yet fondly remembered in the hearts of many. My thoughts and prayers to your entire family.
