Sean Patrick O'Neil

Winsted, CT: Sean Patrick O'Neil, 35, died suddenly on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Riverton, CT. He was the son of Bernardine "Bunny" (Connole) O'Neil of Winsted, CT and Timohy J. O'Neil (Gail M. Story) of Sebastian, FL. Sean was born in Torrington, CT, on November 6, 1986 and spent his childhood in Winsted, CT. He attended local schools, graduating from The Gilbert School, class of 2005 and Northwest CT Community College in Winsted where he received his Associates Degree. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing, music and collecting memorabilia from his childhood. He played bass guitar for the band Twin Berlin and traveled the country promoting their music. He worked at the River Street School in Windsor, CT for 10 years and more recently worked as a correctional officer for the Garner Correctional Institute in Newtown, CT. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Daniel R. O'Neil, (fiancée Shanel Aliano) and Collin M. O'Neil, (Michelle McMahon). Services will be at the Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street, Winsted, CT on Thursday August 11, 2022 at 4:00 PM. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on that day.
