Colebrook: Robin Ann Denaro, 58, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, after a long illness. She was the wife of Phillip Spera. Born in Yonkers, NY, October 5, 1961, she was the daughter of the late William Tucci and Estelle Brownstein of Norwalk, CT. Robin received her bachelor’s degree from Mt. St. Vincent College and worked most of her adult life as a freelance reporter for various newspapers and magazines. After moving to CT in 2002, she did Christmas ornaments, jewelry, art work, stamping, Christmas and gift cards, crocheting and writing for magazines. She also loved reading, cooking, roses, fine Victorian vintage needlework, chintz, chinaware, antiques and old linens. She loved listening to 70's music. She was a spiritual catholic and attended the Mother of Peace Church in Stratford. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her sister, Donna (Dan) Rasmussen of Rocksbury, NJ; an uncle, Joseph Brownstein of Savannah, GA; an aunt, Lenore (Phillip) Calbo of Harrison, NY; two nieces and a nephew, Nina, Corinne and Ian. She also leaves two four legged companions, Hugh and Annie. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
