Leslie Alden Cook

Riverton:  Leslie Alden Cook, 62, died on Sunday, August 5, 2018, surrounded by her family.  Sadly, she succumbed to a heart condition which took her just days before retirement.  She was employed by the Teacher's Retirement Board of the State of Connecticut for thirty six years.  In her youth Leslie was an accomplished ballet dancer first studying with Janice Ransom of Winsted, then with Madame D'Anguerra in Hartford and Springfield and finally with the American Ballet Theater in New York City.  She leaves her  father and mother, Frank and Ramona Cook, her brother, Matthew Cook, sister, Hillarie Speziale, brother Thomas Cook and eight nieces and nephews.  There will be a private memorial gathering of family and close friends on Saturday, August 18.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
