Kathleen Mae (Hung) Anderson

Winsted:  Kathleen Mae (Hung) Anderson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Geer Nursing and Rehab in North Canaan, CT, following a short illness. Born in Kingston, NY, September 10, 1931, She studied dress designing, worked for IBM, Rotron,   Big S Oil Corp. , Feroxcube and retired from Risdon Corp. in Thomaston, CT were she worked for 15 years. She was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Mae F. (Dohnken) Hung and had lived in Winsted, since 2014. She graduated from Kingston High School, in Kingston, NYShe was artistic and enjoyed creating new craft ideas.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outside bird and squirrel watching. and smelling  the flowers of the season in bloom.Romance movies, country music, and square dancing were among the things that made her happy.  She was a past noble grand of the Rebecca Lodge I.O.O.F. of Woodstock, NY And a Den Mother of the Boy Scouts of Accord, NY   She is survived by her Children: Sheryl (Anderson) Lundy and husband John of Winsted, Nelson Anderson of Thomaston, Theresa (Anderson) Budris and husband  William of Thomaston, Norman Anderson and wife Yovonne (Manning) of Winsted. She is also survived by an older sister Gloria (Hung) Todd of Kingston NY, and an older brother Eugene Hung and his wife Carol of West Hartford, CT.  She is preceded in death by a brother William Hung and his his wife Lyndia (Decker). She is also survived by nine grandchildren:  Dennis Ralff, Brian Lundy, Michael Lundy, Darrell Lundy, Kelly Grughbah,  Paul Anderson, Bonnie Snihatch, John Snihatch, and Shane Snihatch., and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27th 2021 at 10:00AM at the Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street, Winsted, CT burial will follow in Forest View Cemetery in Winsted. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening 7-9 PM.
