Joyce Hart Roberts

Winsted:  Joyce Hart Roberts, 83, died on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Valerie Manor Health Care Center in Torrington, following a lengthy illness.  She was the wife of the late Roy Roberts.  Born in Winsted, April 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Dayton) Cadrain and had lived here all of her life.  She had attended local schools and was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1956.  She was a long time member of St. James Episcopal Church.  Joyce was a wonderful mother, a good cook, enjoyed country music, Elvis, Dolly Parton and Ann Murray among others, watching TV game shows, news and soap operas.   She loved her time at Highland Lake and spending time in Florida, visiting her relatives.  She also liked long walks, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games and her working years at the J. C. Burwell Co.  Her survivors include one son, Brian (Jennifer) Roberts and four grandchildren, Christian, Lex and Emma Roberts and Aryanna Delgado, and a best friend of many years Patty Youmatz-Failla.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Joseph Cadrain.  Graveside services will be held at Forest View Cemetery on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Lung Assoc., 45 Ash St., Hartford, CT 06108.  There are no calling hours.
