Winsted: Jeannine G. Emond, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Providence, RI. Born in Canada, June 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elzear and Rosalina (Gelinas) Grenier and spent most of her life in Winsted. She loved her family and children, she enjoyed baking, card playing, was a fan of Charlton Heston, liked a good joke and loved St. Joseph Church. She dreamed of going to Portugal to visit the site of the miracle of Our Lady of Fatima. Her survivors include her children, Leo Emond of San Antonio, TX, Michele Marquis (husband Steverino Green) of Warwick, RI, and Susan Emond of Torrington, CT; her brother, Roland Grenier of Watertown, CT, her sister, Marguerite Zaccara of Winsted; her grandchildren, Rachael Emond and Ryan Emond of San Antonio, TX, Dylan Marquis of Bellingham, MA, Samantha Dziedzic, Sophia Tyrrell (husband Jordan) and Spencer Dziedzic of Torrington, CT; great grandchildren Jacob, Andy, Ryleigh and Adalyn and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Winsted, on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph new Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
