Ida "Edie" C. Goodall

Winsted:  Ida (Edie) Cavalieri Goodall, 81, was born on December 25, 1941, in  Stamford, CT.  She was the daughter of the late Nicholas Cavalieri and Lucietta (DellMastro) Cavalieti.  She leaves the love of her life and best friend, George Robert Goodall.  They were married on October 14, 1961.

She leaves a daughter, Laura Goodall and a son, Robert Goodall, daughter-in-law, Christine Goodall, a grandson, Nathan and four nieces, one nephew, great nieces and nephews and a great grandniece.   In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Annoinette DeNunzio and Grace Imbrogno.  Shortly after her marriage to George, they moved to their 1st home in Middletown, CT, then to Riverton.  She worked with George in their office products business in Bristol.   After selling the business, they moved to California where Edie was a licensed Realtor in San Diego for 14 years.

They moved back to Connecticut to be with family.  Edie was an active Communicate member of St. Joseph Church as a Eucharist Minister, which included ministering to the home bound, member and officer of the Italian-American Women's Club and other volunteer activities.  She loved to garden, particularly growing herbs, enjoyed cooking for her family with Italian recipes from her Mom, baking breads and desserts especially for her grandson Nathan.  She also enjoyed playing golf with George.  Skiing was a family trip each year when children young.  Her family was everything to her.  She leaves her loved ones having had a full and happy life.  She was also an Elvis fan and loved religious music.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 20, 2023 following to the Riverton Cemetery at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to St. Joseph Church, 31 Oak Street, Winsted, CT 06098 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
