WINSTED: Gail Gramlich Vincent passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021 at the age of 85 surrounded by her family. Born in Winsted on May 26, 1936, to Joseph and Evelyn Gramlich, Gail graduated from The Gilbert School, class of 1954 and married her sweetheart Raymond J. Vincent (deceased 2011) and raised their four children. An equestrian and horse trainer, Gail also was an accomplished tennis player. Besides her athletics, she had an artistic side, painting canvases with acrylics, and in her later years painting with watercolor. Her talents were also demonstrated with her sewing and interesting kitchen creations. Her part-time work included painting ceramics, adjusting color in photographic processing, clerking at Bruno’s Market, and managing an eatery. After care-taking for her family and assisting in her husband’s business, Gail enjoyed traveling, cruising the Caribbean, and taking day-trips to the casino with friends and family. She is survived by her children, Guy and his wife Sherri, Gary and his wife Debby, Glen and his fiancée Lillian, Rachel and her husband Kevin as well as her four grandchildren, Sara Mae, Emily, Evan, and Kyle. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, 11:00 AM at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Winsted Area Ambulance Association or the Winsted Fire Department. Maloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
