Torrington: Ella Louise (Nickie) Sherman, 97 passed away peacefully, on February 13, 2019. She was born at home in New Hartford, Ct. on November 12, 1921. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Oscar Lee (Art) Sherman; her parents, George F.H. Gudzinski and Minna Emilia Yahne, son Arthur Lee Sherman, sister Lillian Amelia Sherman and grandson Dylan Andrew Sherman. She leaves behind her sons Warren and wife Jeanie (Weston) Sherman of Pennsylvania, Bruce and Brenda (McCaw) Sherman of New Hampshire, daughter-in-law Judy (Wilcox) Sherman of Florida, 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Special thanks to Sheila Tartaglia for her love and support. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
