Arthur H. Doty

Winsted:  Arthur H. Doty, 60, died on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, following a short illness.  Born in Winsted, January 15, 1960, he was the son of the late, Arthur and Irene (Zompero) Doty, and had lived here all of his life.  He had attended local schools and had worked for several years at Stop & Shop.  He also enjoyed spending time walking on Main Street and meeting friends at Dunkin Donuts to talk about current events of the day.  Art had an affinity for presidential memorabilia, books in general, history, baseball and a love for his cats.  His lifelong ambition was to become a meteorologist.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph new Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church in Winsted.
