Anne "Boo" Pharo

Anne “Boo” Pharo, 80, of Winsted, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home.  She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Pharo.  Born in Winsted in 1941, daughter of the late John and Anne Riiska Boothe.

Over the years, she worked for The Hartford, Finast Supermarkets, Riiska’s Bus Service and Ovation Guitars.  However, the job she loved the most was as a tractor-trailer driver for Schneider.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Brewer and her husband David of Winsted; her grandchildren Benjamin Brewer of McKinney, TX and Megan Brewer of Middletown, CT; her sisters, Barbara Lewis and her husband George of Maine and Kathleen Palmer of Norfolk; and her brother John Boothe and his wife Nancy of Winsted; several nieces and nephews, a special great-niece Meagan Duncan of Nashville, TN; and siblings of her ex-husband Donald Jewett who have remained her extended family and have always meant so much to her.

She enjoyed feeding the birds, caring for her many outdoor and indoor plants, taking long drives around on back country roads, baking and knitting.

A graveside service will be held  on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 am. At the Forest View Cemetery, Winsted, CT.  Maloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wildlife Fund, c/o Connecticut Wildlife, P O.
