Winsted: Yvonne Cecile Czerwonka, 78, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Hartford Hospital following a short illness. She was the wife of the late Leon S. Czerwonka who had passed away in 2017 after 55 years of marriage. Born in Torrington, October 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late, Jules and Antoinette (Roy) Dulude and had lived in Winsted all of her life. She had attended St. Aanthony School and was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1958. Yvonne enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, the Red Sox, the Giants,college sports, the Hallmark channel and singing in the choir at St. Joseph's Church. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, cooking and making soup. She was everyone's grandma. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the Winsted school system in the cafeteria and retired from The Hartford Insurance Group after 25 years. Her survivors include two daughters, Lynn Grondin (Robert) from West Hartland, Pamela Caine (Ronald Jr.) of Barkhamsted; a sister, Jeannette Cappabianca of Riverton; three granddaughters, Kayla Grondin, Ashley Caine, Emilee Caine; a very close cousin, Richard Cordano of NC and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Dulude, Sr. and Maurice Dulude. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street, Winsted, following calling hours from 1-3 PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, or the Little Guild of St. Francis.
