Walter Joseph Picard, Sr.

Blandford, MA:  Walter Joseph Picard, Sr., 74, passed into the open arms of our Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.  He was the husband of Marion (Gillette) Picard.  Born in Winsted, CT, November 29, 1942, he was the son of the late, Antonio and Julia (Gouthier) Picard and had lived in Winsted, Winchester Center and for the past 16 years in Blandford, MA.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked for SKF, retiring with 30 years of service.  In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, he is survived by two children, Lana Joy and Walter J. Picard, Jr.; a daughter in law, Melissa Picard; two brothers, Roland (Joann) Picard and Raymond Picard; three sisters, Cecile (George) Conway, Yvonne (John) Burinskas and Lorraine Hall; five granddaughters, Kaila, Ava & Skyla Joy and Olivia & Zoe Picard; forever friends, Jerry & Joyce Groman and Roland and Arlene Royer; and several nieces & nephews.  In memory of Walt, please do a random act of kindness, that's what he would have done.  Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
