Irene C. Cappabianca

Winsted:  Irene Clementine Cappabianca, 89, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at her home following a lengthy illness.  She was the wife of the late Robert Cappabianca who died in 1986.  Born in Torrington, November 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Caesar and Mary (Cirelli) Magistrali and had lived in this area all of her life.  She had attended local schools in Torrington and was a graduate of Torrington High School, class of 1946.  Prior to her retirement she had worked for the Lambert Kay Co. in Winsted, for 25 years.  Her survivors include four children, Donald Cappabianca, David Cappabianca, Carol Garafalo and Lori Nichols; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.  A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foothills Visiting Nurse and Homecare, Inc., 32 Union Street, Winsted, CT 06098.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
