Edward R. Dziedzic

Torrington:  Edward R. Dziedzic, 75, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital following a lengthy illness with cancer.  He was the loving husband of Celia (Giannatasio) Dziedzic for 53 years.  Born in Winsted, April 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Roger and Rosella (Benedict) Dziedzic, and had lived in the Winsted-Torrington area all of his life.  Prior to his retirement, he had been an electrician for over 40 years.  After his retirement and up until the time of his illness, he had worked with much pride for Big Y Supermarket in Torrington.  Ed loved fishing, dancing and dining with friends.  He enjoyed 50's music, doo-wop concerts, early country music, watching TV and spending time with the grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Dziedzic and Frank Dziedzic both of Torrington; a brother, Charles Dziedzic of Oxford; two sisters, Janet Garovoy of Torrington and Lucy Sineath of VA and three granddaughters, Jordan, Cameron and Madison.  Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foothills Visiting Nurse and Home Care, Inc. 32 Union Street, Winsted, CT 06098.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
