David Craig Villa

David Craig Villa, 65, from Winsted, CT passed peacefully in his home on February 19, 2018. Born on April 19, 1952 in Hartford, CT, David was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Kearney) Villa, brother of the late Mark and Robert Villa. He attended the University of New Haven and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He had a decorated twenty-year career with the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections. Prior to his career, he was a member of the United States Army for 4 years, serving honorably from 1971 to 1975. He continued his patriotism as an active member of the American Legion. He served on numerous boards and committees in Winsted, CT. He was deeply committed to serving his community and country. He is survived by his sons David A. Villa and John J. Villa as well as two sisters, Cynthia and Laurie, and many loyal and loving friends. A memorial service will be held on March 3rd visiting from 4-6, at 6 military service to be immediately followed by full military honors at the VFW 114 Colebrook River Rd, Winsted, CT.
