Albert F. Cappabianca, Sr.

Winsted:  Albert F. Cappabianca, Sr., 75, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Cherry Brook Healthcare in Canton, following a short illness.  He was the husband of Patricia (LaMere) Cappabianca.  Born in Winsted, August 8, 1941, a son of the late Albert J. and Marion (Conlon) Cappabianca, he had lived most of his life in the Winsted area.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked for Cappy's Cleaners for many years.  He was an Air Force Veteran having served from 1958-1962, was a member of St. Andrew's Lodge #64, AF&AM and was an Auxillary State Policeman for several years.  In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, he is survived by two children, Albert, Jr. and his wife Michele Matthes of Canton, Teresa DellaGiustina and her husband Nicholas of Sandisfield, MA; a brother, Andre Cappabianca of Winsted; three wonderful grandchildren who he adored, Andrew Cappabianca, Madison and Brooke DellaGiustina and several nieces & nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Capppabianca.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in St. Joseph new Cemetery in the spring.  Friends may call at the Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street on Monday, February 27, from 5-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492, the Canton Little League, 97A Dyer Avenue, Canton, CT 06019 or to the DAV, Newington, Connecticut, VA Medical Center, P.O.
