Donna Marie Travaglin

Donna Travaglin, A beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend was called home peacefully on June 30, 2023.  Donna was born April 21, 1951 in Portland, Maine to the late William Alley and Edna Sileo.  She was predeceased by her sister Susan Ellis of Norfolk.  She is survived by two sons Griff & Donny Travaglin of Winsted, her grandchildren Jacob, Caroline, Olivia and Sawyer.  She is also survived by her siblings, a brother Roger (Joelle) Alley of Wynantskill, NY, a sister Kim (Paul) Plante of Colebrook, CT and several nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Northwestern Regional 7.  Following graduation and for many years of her life, Donna worked in the food industry and later operated her own food truck for a number of years.  Donna will be remembered for her ability to create several wonderful culinary delights.   Her recipes have been passed down for years for family and friends to enjoy.   Donna was a family person who enjoyed spending time with her siblings and their spouses.  During the summers, nearly every weekend there was a picnic among family and friends at the Travaglin family home organized by Donna.  This same passion for family time still exists to this day with her boys and the family.  

A private service for family and a celebration of life will be held on a date in the near future.  Donations may be made in Donna’s name to the Winsted Area Ambulance service.
