Wanda Barbara Holmes

Winsted:  Wanda Barbara Holmes, 95, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Valerie Manor Convalescent Home in Torrington.  Born in Winsted, April 19. 1920, she was the daughter of the late Waleryan and Ceslana (Biedzieska) Dombrowski and had lived here all of her life. Wanda had attended local schools and prior to her retirement, had worked at the hosiery for several years.  Wanda's survivors include her daughter Marlene Scorzato and her husband Steven of Weatogue; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Lamberto; four brothers, two sisters, several nieces and a nephew.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph new Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045 or to St. Joseph Church in Winsted.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com
