Winsted:  Robert James Kent was born August 28, 1940, to Robert Spencer Kent and Mary Janet Hemstreet in Schenectady, New York.  He was in the Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam War.  He attended Clarkson College of Technology.  Bob worked many years as a computer technician.  His interest in railroads and trains led to his being a member of the Essex Steam Train Museum and many trips around the country enjoying various historical museums and railways.  He was a scout leader earning a Silver Beaver Award.  It was this which led him to involvement with the Native American Community.  He leaves his wife, Jeanne (Davis) Kent, his children; David Kent of West Haven, CT, his daughter, Deborah L. Kent of Seattle, WA and one brother, Jack Kent of Ashburn, VA.  There are no services or calling hours scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
