Rita Marie King

Winsted:  Rita Marie (Lachat) King "God's little helper", entered into eternal life early in the morning of October 18, 2016 with her family at her side.  Born April 26, 1929 she was the widow of Paul P. King and mother of Patrick King of Torrington, Peter King (Karen) of St. Petersburg, FL, Jean Bronson (Jody) of Falls Village, Francis King (Diane) of New Hartford, Agnes Dzenutis (Stan) of Norfolk & Timothy King of Norfolk.  Grandchildren Emily Bronson, Rachel Bronson, Heather King, Victoria King, Sydney Dzenutis & Paige Dzenutis.  Sister of Leona Mangione of Winsted, Jeanne Wicox (Bill) of Winsted, Pauline Hughes and Charles Lachat both of South Daytona, FL.  Predeceased by sisters Bernadette Hogencamp and Noella Lachat and brother Maurice Lachat.  Rita worked for many years as a proofreader for the Dowd Printing Co. and Goulet Printery. She was best known as a seamstress & childcare provider to her family and friends throughout the community.  Rita loved her family and friends, her church, making fine clothes, baking great pies, cakes & cookies and making puzzles.  She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Winsted.  Calling hours are Thursday October 27, from 5 to 8 PM at Maloney Funeral Home, 55 Walnut Street, Winsted.  Funeral at St. Joseph Church 31 Oak St, Winsted, 10 AM on Friday October 28.
