Torrington: Mary Jane (Puzone) Vinisko, 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, following a short illness. She was the loving wife of Stephen M. Vinisko. Born in New Haven, CT August 26, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Criscuolo) Puzone. She had been brought up in Orange, CT and had lived in Torrington for the past 41 years. Prior to her illness, she had been the store manager at Burger King in Torrington for many years. Prior to that, she had worked for the Winsted Savings Bank, CCT Insurance in New Haven and bookkeeping for various factories in the New Haven area. Mary Jane, when young, used to take the train to Wallingford to help her aunt with the beauty shop on Saturdays, she liked dancing and bowling, enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her mother in her late years. She was a very devoted daughter and wife with a beautiful smile, was caring, affectionate and had a beautiful heart. The enjoyed her trip to Disney World and looking at different lighthouses. She also enjoyed her rescued cats, Cristoff and Adolph and watching movies. In addition to her husband of 40 years, she is survived by a brother, Joseph Puzone, Jr. of Orange, CT. Beside her parents she was predeceased by four aunts, Emma Puzone, Ellen Puzone, Mildred Puzone and Gloria Puzone; an uncle, Peter Puzone and mother and father in law, Mr & Mrs Stephen J. Vinisko. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
