Louise (Francis) Warren

Louise (Francis) Warren, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on November 6, 2015. She was born August 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Francis Michael and Mathilda (Harris) Francis in Winsted, CT and resided in Winsted all her life. She was the wife of the late John Warren. Louise was employed as a Credit Manager at Standard Oil in Winsted, CT and P.T.C. Aerospace in Bantam,CT until she retired in 1984. After that time, she continued working part-time for over 10 years at several jobs, including two favorites, The Donut Station coffee shop in Winsted and as a School Crossing Guard in Winsted. Her social-side thrived in both positions, whether it be with the adults or the children she loved to greet each day.In addition, she was a member of the Winchester Grange for over 25 years, as well as being a former president of the Winsted Business and Professional Woman’s Club. Louise was also a very active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Winsted throughout her life.Louise leaves behind her beloved sister, Lavon Francis, of Winsted, CT, who gave her exceptional care and compassion during her time of need, as well as her beloved brother-in-law, Thomas Burke of Winsted and beloved sister-in-law, Kathleen Francis of Ellington, CT. She also leaves behind 17 nieces and nephews that she loved;with all her heart; and many great nieces and great nephews that she cherished.  She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Francis, of Ellington, CT; a brother, Charles Francis and his wife Jeanne of South Windsor, CT; a sister, Wanda Persons and her husband John, of Waterbury, VT; a sister, Shirley Burke of Winsted, CT and a brother-in-law, Louis Warren and his wife Hazel of Pine Meadow, CT.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Winsted, CT on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony School, 55 Oak St., Winsted, CT.
