George J. Bigos

Winsted:  George J. Bigos, 72 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at his home.  Born in Bridgeport, CT, August 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Joseph and Selina Bigos and had lived in Winsted for the past 21 years.  Prior to his retirement, he had been a welder in the Aerospace Industry workiing for several companies throughout the state.  In addition to his companion of 21 years, Dr. Ruth Gonzalez, he is survived by three sons, Mark Bigos of Torrington, Jared Bigos and Thomas Scanangelo, both of Winsted; three daughters, Laurel Bigos of Torrington, Michelle Bigos of Seattle, WA and Rachel Stewart of Winsted; two brothers, Kenneth Bigos of Greenville, VA and James Bigos of FL; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Bigos.  A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 1, at the Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street, from 5-8 PM.  Please feel free to leave an online condolence.
