So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Lost track of Dave over the years, but have so many fond memories of enjoying his company. I was prompted to look him up the other day and heartbroken to find him gone from us. As I knew him, a good man, well liked, and well respected by his colleagues. May he rest peacefully.

My deepest sympathy to all the Battistoni family, I arrived in Winsted coming from Pittsfield at 2:16 pm, however I am very sorry to say, I did not make it inside as it was so very hot and I could not leave my Micki Maus in the car. Dave was truly a very special person and I had the privilege to work with him, he was very kind and compassionate, he will be missed. Semper Fi from his Marine Pal Gary Wilk, also.

David was one of the best public servants Winsted has ever seen. Kind, patient, resourceful and hard-working. Like all of our town employees and an example to all of us. We will miss David and his efforts to improve our town and our lives. Sincere condolences to all his family-
