Charles Dean Hanson

Winsted:  Charles Dean Hanson, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, after a lengthy illness, at his home.  He was the husband of Linda (Gunsinger) Hanson.  Born in Kansas City, KS, June 24, 1933, Chuck was the son of the late Albert and Esther (Johnson) Hanson.  Prior to his retirement, he had been a sales manager for several of the larger corporations in the US.  He had received his Bachelors' Degree from Kansas University, was a veteran of the Korean War and had lived in Winsted since 1984.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey Hanson of Cottage Grove, OR, Christy Paden of Overland Park, KS, Alyson Gunsinger of Barkhamsted and Gretchen Gunsinger of Uncasville, CT; one brother, Paul Hanson of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Anita Carlisle, of Wichita, KS and 10 grandchildren.  Funeral services wil be held on Thursday, May 7, at 1:00 PM at the 2nd Congregational Church, 800 Main Street, Winsted.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
