Annie Marie Marolda

Canton:  Annie Marie Marolda, 93, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Cherry Brook Healthcare following a short illness.  Born in Winchester, November 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Angelina (Dinezza) Paolantonio and had lived in NW CT all of her life.  Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Travelers Insurance for over 10 years.  She was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1942 and a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Winsted.  Her survivors include three children, Edward Marolda of Manasses, VA, Dennis Marolda and Diane Dyer both of Canton; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, Jerry Marolda; a grandson, Nicholas DePaola, Jr.; two brothers, John and Nick Paolantonio; and five sisters, Carmella Amicone, Josephine Paolantonio, Minnie Maccalous, Lucy Ruberto and Rose Paolantnio.  A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 10, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Winsted.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in St. Joseph new Cemetery in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.  To leave an online condolence, please visit www.maloneyfuneral.com.
